A capacity field of 750 of the leading distance runners from Kent and further afield will converge on Valley Park School for the 2009 Maidstone Half-Marathon on Sunday morning.
Tom Collins of Medway & Maidstone AC stepped up from second place in 2007 and fifth in 2006 to win last year in 73 minutes 43 seconds and is the favourite to retain his title.
Imogen Norton of Milton Keynes won the women’s race in 84 minutes 58 seconds.
The winning team in the men’s race was the host club Maidstone Harriers and the women’s race went to Serpentine Running Club from Maidstone Harriers.
The race starts at 9.30am.
