Emergency services raced to the scene of a crash on a busy stretch of motorway yesterday evening.

Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service were called at 5pm after a Renault Clio flipped onto its side following a collision with a lorry.

The incident on the London-bound carriageway of the M20 between junctions 9 for Ashford and 8 for Leeds resulted in the occupants of the car being treated for hand injuries.

Two lanes were closed until 6.20pm.
