Dramatic pictures have emerged of a car on fire in Detling.

The Peugeot went up in flames in Pilgrims Way at around 2.18pm.

The car, which was totally destroyed, appeared to have had its front and rear body work and parts stripped out - a common tactic by thieves.

Witnesses said police and forensics teams were spotted at the scene after the fire had been put out.
