Rush-hour traffic travelling into Maidstone town centre is being hampered this morning after an accident in Sheals Crecent.

A car has hit the barrier there and is partially blocking the road.

Police officers are at the scene controlling traffic flows.

There were no injuries. The accident happened at 7.30am and it is believed only one vehicle was involved.

The road forms part of the one-way system into town for traffic travelling north.

Expect delays.
