Pedestrian barriers have been left damaged after a car ploughed into them.

There are currently delays on Sutton Road heading out of Maidstone town centre after the accident close to St Saviours Road.

The silver BMW is believed to be the only vehicle involved in the collision, which has damaged barriers close to the traffic lights.

Police are at the scene, and drivers are warned to approach the area with caution.

No injuries have been reported.
