Police seize vehicle after driver stopped in Brishing Lane, Maidstone

A driver who fled from police after being pulled over has had his car seized.

Officers from Kent Police's Roads Unit stopped the Mitsubishi L200 after seeing it "fly out" of a junction in Brishing Lane, Maidstone, this morning.

After running away from the police the driver was stopped a short distance from the vehicle where it was discovered he had been disqualified from driving and was driving without insurance.

Kent Police's Roads Unit tweeted: "This vehicle came flying out of junction and driver wasn't wearing a seatbelt.

"A few quick left and rights saw the driver decamp. Detained short distance away by RPU1 and confirmed to be disqualified. Vehicle seized and driver reported. Monday run complete."
