Police have arrested two people after an air and land search ended in a suspect being allegedly found hiding in a hedge.

Police were called at around 10pm last night to reports of a car theft in Brewer Street, Maidstone.

Ground officers and the police helicopter searched for the culprits, and the vehicle was found abandoned in Farleigh Hill.

Two men, aged 27 and 31, were arrested on suspicion of car theft and remain in custody.
