A town centre is about to get a taste of the Caribbean with a new restaurant opening tomorrow.
Behind the vibrantly painted shop front of the Jerk Shack in Market Buildings, Maidstone diners will be able to enjoy authentic dishes from 12pm onwards.
Meals on offer include curry goat, rasta vegan stew, and of course, jerk chicken.
The new eatery, which replaces Café Bruges, will be the County Town's first Caribbean restaurant.
"I'm really excited about it," said owner Andy Campbell.
"But in the next breath I'm absolutely exhausted. I've had no sleep and have been burning the candle at both ends to get it open.
"Hopefully we can get some feedback on the food. I'm just hoping I can step up to the plate."
The restaurant is also offering takeaway and a delivery service.
