Four cars were destroyed in a domestic garage fire yesterday.

Fire crews were called to a blaze in Commodore Road, Maidstone, at around 3.15pm.

Three fire engines were sent to the scene where firefighters, wearing breathing apparatus, used one main jet, compressed air foam, hose reel jets and water from a hydrant to put out the flames.

It was dealt with by around 5.30pm.

No casualties were reported and the cause has not yet been confirmed.
