Police have released a CCTV image of three men after two hospice statues were vandalised.
The Shaun the Sheep figures in Brenchley Gardens and Fremlin Walk, Maidstone, were left damaged beyond repair, costing the Heart of Kent Hospice up to £10,000.
The attack took place on August 18 between 10pm and 10.20pm.
It is reported the suspects took turns to kick the statue in the shopping complex before pushing it over and heading towards Week Street.
An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the damage to the one in the park.
One of the men is described as Asian, with short dark hair. He wore a black T-shirt with a small circular white logo, black trousers and black boots.
The two others are both described as white with dark hair cut short on the sides and longer on the top.
One wore a grey hooded top and black shorts, while the other had a black long-sleeved polo-neck top and dark blue jeans with a rip in one knee.
All three were of an athletic build and thought to be in their mid to late teens or early 20s.
Following the vandalism, the charity said it was “heartbroken”.
More than 50 sculptures of the iconic character had been dotted around the county town as part of their art trail in partnership with Maidstone council.
Next month they are to be auctioned off for up to £5,000 a piece, with all funds going towards the hospice.
But the irreparable damage caused to the two Shauns means those ones will not be sold, causing Heart of Kent Hospice to lose out on “vital funds”.
Outraged community members have responded by rallying together and fundraising to to help recover the loss.
