The sun is shining on Maidstone today as the town hosts its St George’s Day celebrations - albeit two days after the patron saint’s official birthday.
There is a stage set up in front of the Town Hall and shoppers are able to relax in a deck-chair and listen to live music from a host of acts and watch dancing by the Kits Coty Morris and the Kettlebridge Clogs.
The event is being hosted by Town Centre Management, and organiser Larry Williamson said: ”I can’t believe it. It’s nice weather and everything is running to time.”
The fun goes on until 5pm.
