Two household names will be throwing their weight behind this year’s World Custard Pie Championships.
Normally held in Coxheath in June, the flan-flinging event which often makes national headlines was put back to September so it didn't clash with the Jubilee and Olympics.
Actor and former Two Pints of Lager and A Packet of Crisps star Will Mellor, and comedian Rory McGrath will be joining the teams to splatter each other at the new venue of the Stile Bridge Public House near Marden on Saturday, September 22.
The championships have been running since 1967 when former borough and parish councillor Mike FitzGerald - who is still involved - started them.
Teams this year will be limited to 16 groupsteams of four, so entries should be in soon. There is an entry fee of £40.
