A FASHION show featuring clothes from Maidstone stores looks set to raise more than £1,000 for two charities. The show, organised by dating and events agency boss Linda Cloke, takes place on Thursday, March 14, at The Exchange, Market Buildings, Maidstone.
Ms Cloke said: "Last year we raised £800 for the Kent River Walk. This year we are expecting to do even better and raise over £1,000 for the Mayor of Maidstone's charities, Demelza House Children's Hospice and the Peggy Wood Children's Ambulance Fund."
The show is being sponsored by Maidstone council, who are providing the venue free, and by entrepreneur Steve Moore, owner of the Gallery Group. Clothes will be supplied by Frocks in the Royal Star Arcade, Ciro Citterio in Week Street, Woods in Bank Street and wedding gown makers A Stitch in Time, Milton Street.
Invicta FM's Sam will provide the commentary, along with Alan Reading, president of the Maidstone and Mid-Kent Chamber of Commerce. There will be a display of hair styling by Impressions, Market Buildings, and a cheerleading routine by the Prima Stage School.
A prize auction will include a week's skiing holiday, a year's free membership at the Bob Prowse Health Club, dinner bed and breakfast at Chilston Park and a day's computer training at Best Training. Tickets are £5, available from Woods, Frocks and Ciro Citterio or by calling Linda Cloke at Connexions on 01622 862288.
