A charity that supports vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people wants to expand - into the building next door.
King’s Reach has operated from St Hilary’s House off Reculver Walk in Maidstone, since 2008, but would like to grow into the former Senacre Wood Surgery building next door.
The charity, founded in 2003, caters for 10 students at present. It does not intend to take on extra students, but says the move will improve its educational provision by offering better classroom space.
It has applied to Maidstone council for change-of-use permission for the old surgery to become an educational function.
It said there would be no additional traffic and no reason why there should be any extra noise disturbing the residents of Reculver Walk, since pupil numbers would be the same.
