Soon after Scott Poleykett was born he was taken to Great Ormond Street Hospital with a hole in the heart and a blocked aorta.

Now 20 years later he is returning to the wards in his role as a children’s entertainer.

Scott, of Chamberlain Avenue, Maidstone, who is known as Scotty the Clown, is returning to say thank you to the hospital which saved his life as a child.

He said: "I wrote to them and said I was once a patient with you now I want to come back and say thank you.

"I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for them."
