Delays are expected for the next hour on a major stretch of motorway following an earlier collision.

One lane of the London-bound carriageway between Junction 8 for Leeds and Junction 7 for Detling is closed while emergency services attend the incident.

A Ford Fiesta was left facing the wrong way after colliding with a van just after 12pm, however no one was injured.

The Highways Agency reported that drivers faced 10 minute delays until 2pm, with the roads now clear.
