The Maidstone Area Rail Users Group has launched an online travel survey.
The commuters are determined to stop any further deterioration in the town’s train services and MARUG wants as many people as possible to fill in the survey so that it can submit the results to Southeastern as evidence of the demand for threatened services.
Southeastern is planning to drop its fast service to the City in December, because of an alleged lack of demand.
But MARAG chairman Laura Cloke said: "We believe the results of the survey will show there is actually a demand for more trains on this line and that if Southeastern ran more trains during peak times passenger numbers would increase."
MARUG is campaigning in association with the Keep Our Trains campaign and the newly formed Malling District Rail User Group. The protestors are backed by MPs Ann Widdecombe, Hugh Robertson and Sir John Stanley.
Miss Widdecombe was due to meet campaigners at Maidstone East station tomorrow night (Thursday).
