Fancy a coffee or a tea that's a little out of the ordinary?
There's a new venue in town.
Matestone in the High Street in Maidstone is the inspiration of young couple George Spencer and Sandra Lemke.
Customers can sit in a unique environment - at tables and chairs hand-crafted by the couple, and benefit from super-fast wi-fi connection, while choosing from a range of 12 tea varieties, supplied by the Kent and Sussex Tea Company.
Mr Spencer said: "We are sourcing all our products locally. We have coffee roasted by Herbert and Ward in Medway; cakes - and wonderful vegan sausage rolls - supplied from a bakery at Burgess Hill; croissants - including a fantastic vegan raspberry croissant - from Bradleys in Ashford."
On the walls, customers can admire artworks by local painters in a rotating exhibition - this week its the turn of Kyle Rodriguez.
The couple signed the lease on the building last December, but only opened last week.
It's a first venture into business for the couple.
Mr Spencer said: "It's been a strange week. One day we had lots of students from the European School of Osteopathy in here with their keyboards open doing revision together, then on Wednesday evening we had the ladies of the Maidstone Knitting Club knitting away!"
The cafe is open from 8am to 2pm on Monday, 8am to 4pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8am to 7pm on Wednesdays and Fridays, 9am to 7pm on Saturdays and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.
