Emergency services are responding to a crash on a busy route out of Maidstone.

The crash, involving two cars, was reported on the Chatham-bound Royal Engineers' Road shortly after 8.30am.

Police and paramedics are at the scene and one lane is blocked.

It is unclear if anyone has been injured.

Elsewhere, slow traffic is reported on the London-bound M20 near junction 5 for Aylesford. There are currently major roadworks near the motorway junction.
