An accident involving a car and a lorry is causing delays on a stretch of motorway this evening.

The accident happened on the coast-bound carriageway of the M20 near Maidstone shortly before 7pm.

It has left part of the road between Junction 6 for the A229 and Junction 7 for the A249 blocked and traffic is moving slowly as a result.

Police have been approached for comment.
