Police are appealing for witnesses after three people needed treatment from paramedics as a result of a crash on a main road.
Officers were called to Lees Road, Yalding, at 11.25am following a collision between a grey Peugeot Tepee and a black Peugeot 3008.
Five people were involved in the accident and the air ambulance reportedly landed nearby.
A police spokesman said: "An elderly woman in one of the vehicles was seriously injured and taken hospital.
"Ambulance crews also treated other people for minor injuries.
"Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit carried out enquiries at the scene and they would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, or saw either of the vehicles in the moments leading up to it."
The road was closed, but reopened at around 4.30pm.
