There were long delays on the on the A249 southbound after a crash involving a car and a lorry this morning.

The accident happened just before 9.30am and closed a lane near the slip road going towards the M2 J5 for the Stockbury Roundabout.

Police put a road closure in place until both vehicles were recovered.

No injuries were reported and the road is now clear.
