There has been a crash involving four cars on the A229 near Maidstone Police Station.

Police and paramedics are currently at the scene.

Kent Police was called just after 5pm to the crash on Palace Avenue.

It is not believed anyone was seriously injured.

The left hand lane was closed while the cars were moved, but both lanes have now reopened.

The road is a busy part of the Maidstone gyratory system at this time of the day.
