A woman remains in a serious collision after a crash on the A20 Ashford Road in Maidstone.
Emergency services closed the road outside Tudor Park Marriott Hotel and Country Club in Bearsted, for more than four hours last Friday while they investigated a crash involving one car.
The female driver, who is in her 50s, was taken to Kings College Hospital in London with facial injuries and suspected chest injuries.
On Wednesday, Kent Police said the motorist remains in hospital in a serious condition but her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
It's understood the casualty's red Fiat Bravo left the carriageway and hit a tree at around 9am.
The route was closed in both directions between Roundwell and Yeoman Lane.
The air ambulance land vehicle and an ambulance and car from SECambs attended, and treated the woman at the scene, before she was taken to Kings at just after 10am.
Two crews from Kent Fire and Rescue Service were also in attendance.
Officers from Kent Police and Kent Highways were seen examining the area, which remained reopened just before 1.30pm.
The popular father-of-eight, from Herne Bay, was riding a black Yamaha bike when it crashed near the junction 8 roundabout of the M20.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have appealed for witnesses to the accident this morning to come forward.
