Royal Engineers Road crossing destroyed in crash

A pedestrian crossing has been smashed to pieces following a crash.

A traffic light has been brought down and a barrier was bent out of shape by the collision near Springfield Roundabout in Royal Engineers Road, Maidstone.

The lights will be switched off until workers are able to fix them.

A spokesperson for Kent County Council (KCC) said: "We are aware and an engineer will be sent to repair the damage."
