Two Kent asian restaurants have been named among the best in the UK.
Thaii Fusion in Sittingbourne and the Gufaa Raja in West Malling won gongs at this year's Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards.
The former was awarded the prize of best Thai chef of the year in the UK by a panel of judges, which included MPs, chefs and a former England cricketer.
Kiron Haque of Thaii Fusion says it was a dream come true to win the award.
"After winning this I am even more committed to ensuring that I not only tantalise the taste buds of my diners with new Thai culinary delights but that I continually reinvent myself to stay ahead of the game," he added.
Gufaa Raja was named the best restaurant in Kent at the ceremony.
Owner Pabel Chowdhury said: "Since we opened our doors in 2004, we have been offering the best Asian cuisine to our customers, with dishes prepared with fresh ingredients and aromatic spices.
"We are truly honoured to be named as the best Asian restaurant in all of Kent.”
