A cyclist was taken to hospital with head injuries after a suspected hit and run in Park Wood.
The man in his 30s was put in a neck brace and taken to Tunbridge Wells Hospital as a priority.
The collision happened just after 7pm yesterday in the estate's Brishing Lane with witnesses reporting a black Ford Fiesta driving off at speed.
Passerby Ebonie Gravenell saw the incident unfold.
She said: "I was driving down Brishing Lane and was approached by a couple who said a cyclist had been hit at speed and had flown into the road.
"He was still conscious and luckily a trained nurse who was caught up in the traffic arrived and was able to stabilise him before paramedics arrived."
A Kent Police spokesman said: "We were called to a report that a cyclist was injured after they had come off their bike.
"Officers attended the scene, as did a crew from Secamb, and the cyclist was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
"It is reported that a black Ford Fiesta was in the area at a similar time however the vehicle was not present when officers attended the scene. Inquiries are ongoing."
