TELEVISION star and comedian Vic Reeves has revealed that he is expecting twins with his wife, Nancy Sorrell.
The 46-year-old presenter of the BBC’s Shooting Stars, who lives in Boughton Malherbe near Maidstone, announced the news on his Virgin Radio show.
Virgin Radio has confirmed that the news was exclusively broadcast on its station, and a spokesman says everyone is pleased for the couple.
Reeves and Mortimer star Vic, whose real name is Jim Moir, initiated the conversation with his wife when she appeared on his Big Night In show to promote her recent work for Ann Summers.
The conversation began by the father-to-be asking: “What about this exciting news then?”
His wife replied by saying: “Don’t, I’m going to cry.”
The couple then announced they were expecting not one but two babies, which Vic called “cheap at half the price”.
They went on to joke about naming the children Simon and Garfunkel, Bill and Ben or Batman and Robin.
Big Night In is broadcast every Wednesday and Thursday night on Virgin Radio 1215AM nationwide.
