Organisers of the Heritage Transport Show have set the date for its return in 2021.
After having to cancel at short notice last year, the Kent County Agricultural Society remains hopeful the vintage vehicle exhibition can still go ahead at the Kent Event Centre in Detling, and are planning for Saturday, April 10.
James Forknall, chairman of the Kent County Agricultural Society, said: “Covid-19 continues to impact our day to day lives and our ability to run events, but we wanted to bring some positivity by starting plans for this year’s Heritage Transport Show.”
“The situation with the pandemic continues to change frequently so we are remaining flexible to deliver an event that is safe for all.
"The Heritage Transport Show may be a little different to previous years as we follow government guidance, but it will still hold the same spirit and enthusiasm as it always has.
“In order to run the event safely and responsibly, the team will be following any changes to government guidance closely and will keep visitors and exhibitors updated.”
The South East Bus Festival also hopes to join the event for the tenth year running.
More than 1,000 vintage vehicles were on display at the show in 2019 and organisers hope to see similar numbers this year.
Applications to exhibit at the show are currently open. Vehicles of any age and type are welcome to apply.
Tickets will go on sale later in the year, but visitors can register now for early access.
As a safety measure, tickets will not be available to purchase on the gate so all tickets must be bought in advance.
