Barak the cockerel gets death
threats

A cockerel is under pressure to
keep his beak shut after a series of anonymous threats.

Barak the rooster is accused of
sparking the hate mail with his loud crowing, which the letter
writer claims can be heard half a mile a way, even though he is
kept in a garage overnight.

Barak’s owner John Everett, is baffled
as to who could have it in for his pet.

He said: "It’s just ridiculous someone
would send anonymous threats about a cockerel. complaining about
the pet and two newspaper cuttings about chicken-related disputes.
One showed a chick with someone's hands around its throat.
