A dog walker was taken to hospital after getting trapped under a car in a crash that also involved a lorry.

The accident happened at the Loose Road junction with Northview just after 4pm.

The road was partially blocked heading northbound and emergency crews were called to the scene.

Fire crews helped to clear the vehicles while the male pedestrian, who had suffered head, thorax, and hand injuries, was taken to St George's Hospital in London by the air ambulance.

The road was cleared by about 5pm.
