Motorists faced long delays on the M20 due to a broken down lorry.

The vehicle needed to have a tyre changed after stopping near the roadworks area on the London bound carriageway between junction 9 for Ashford and junction 8 for Leeds Castle.

One lane was closed just after the two-lane section of roadworks, where the road becomes three lanes.

At its worst, drivers faced delays of 50 minutes.

All lanes have been reopened and delays have cleared.
