There were queues along a main road after a fire broke out in a trailer being towed.

Police were called to the scene of the blaze on the A229 Blue Bell Hill at about 10.30am today.

A lane on the Maidstone-bound carriageway was closed while fire crews extinguished the flames.

Officers made arrangements to move the vehicle, before reopening the lane.
