There were delays on the A229 at Blue Bell Hill this morning following a crash.

The collision, which happened at 7.15am, involved a lorry and a car in the Maidstone-bound carriageway, just before the Shell garage.

No injuries were reported but the accident caused the slip-road from Common Road to be closed briefly, to remove a tree which was obstructing the footpath.

The Highways Agency said the crash was also causing jams at Walderslade Woods, with slow moving traffic heading towards the Taddington roundabout.
