Derelict house fire

Fire crews were last night called to a blaze at a derelict house.

Two pumps arrived at the empty property in Malling Road, Snodland, at 21.20pm.

Firefighters used a hosereel jet to tackle the flames.

The fire had broken out in the front room of the unused two-storey house.

Crews left the scene at 9.35pm after damping down the scene.

Officers from Kent Police also attended the incident and are treating the cause as suspicious.
