Did you see mopeds being ridden recklessly?

POLICE are appealing for information after mopeds were seen being ridden dangerously.

A group of six people were seen riding their vehicles in around Maidstone town centre and nearby Sittingbourne Road on the afternoon of Sunday, October 15.

Dan Clegg, police media and communications officer, said: "It was reported that this was being done in a dangerous and inconsiderate manner."

PC Patrick Quinton, who is investigating the complaints said: “We are very keen to stop the anti-social use of these vehicles but we very much require the assistance of the public to do so.

"We believe we can identify the riders in this case. However, we require further evidence to proceed with our investigation. If anyone saw this irresponsible behaviour taking place, I would encourage them to contact me immediately”.

Anyone with any further information should contact PC Quinton at Maidstone police station on 01622 604171.
