Firefighters called to dishwasher fire in Franklin Drive, Grove Green, Maidstone

A dishwasher started a fire in a home in Grove Green in Maidstone.

Crews were called at 9.30pm yesterday and spent around 40 minutes tackling the blaze, in the kitchen of a detached house in Franklin Drive.

They then used a ventilation fan to clear away the smoke and fumes.

There are no reports of any injuries and the cause is currently unknown.
