Trains disrupted after fallen tree blocks tracks at East Farleigh

Passengers are experiencing disruptions after a tree fell on a railway line.

A train is stuck at East Farleigh due to the fallen branch and no services can run on the Medway Valley Line between Maidstone West and Paddock Wood.

Tickets for these services can be used on local Arriva and Nu Venture bus routes.

Network Rail response staff are on site and a rescue train has been sent from Maidstone West to attend the scene.

The 5.25pm service from St Pancras to Maidstone West will divert to Rochester after Strood and will not call at Snodland or Maidstone West.

This comes ahead of industrial action due to take place tomorrow.
