A MAN who picked up a roll of film he noticed lying in a public car park discovered the reel contained a set of wedding prints.
John Slattery spotted the undeveloped film lying in the public car park off College Avenue, Maidstone, in February and took it home, meaning to get it developed.
But months went past and Mr Slattery, of Westway, Coxheath, near Maidstone, forgot about the reel until last week when he discovered it in a drawer.
He said: “I just happened to find it and thought it wouldn’t hurt to get it developed. When we got the prints back we were surprised to discover they were someone’s wedding pictures. We would like this couple to come forward and claim their photos. Anyone would be upset if their wedding photos went missing. They are obviously going to be of great sentimental value.”
The pictures show the couple standing next to an old-fashioned car outside the Archbishop’s Palace in Maidstone where, presumably, the pair tied the knot at the register office there.
