CCTV footage has been released by Kent Police of a robbery at an off licence in which the store manager was attacked.

A raider entered the off licence in London Road, Maidstone, and pushed the manager and his wife towards the back of the store before demanding they open the safe.

When the demand was refused, it is alleged that the man punched the manager in the head.

At this stage, the robber grabbed more than £60 in cash from one of the tills before leaving the store and joining two men outside. They all made off down Buckland Lane.

All three men are described as black, with the main offender described as being 6ft tall and wearing a white New York Yankees baseball cap, a blue zip-up Nike sports top with a wide white stripe down the arm and dark bottoms.

The incident happened at approximately 6.40pm on Friday, July 21.
