A man has been taken to hospital after allegedly being followed and kicked in the face by a stranger.
The victim, who was walking his dog along Spot Lane in Bearsted, reported he was followed by an unknown man who was shouting, swearing and trying to trip him up.
He was followed for about half a mile before being pushed over in Tower Lane, where he was then kicked in the face.
The victim went to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries.
The suspect is described as being a white male, about 5ft 10ins, aged between 40 and 45, of a large build and had stubble on his face.
He was wearing a grey T-shirt with what looked like cement or plaster dust on it, grey tracksuit bottoms and boots.
Since the incident, which happened at around 6.30pm on Wednesday, April 2, an appeal has been released by police.
Officers have been conducting house-to-house inquiries and reviewing any potential CCTV footage.
