Tonbridge were unable to build on their midweek win as they slumped to a 3-1 defeat at Dorchester in Blue Square South.
Tommy Warilow's men had a horror opening 11 minutes, finding themselves two goals behind early on as Ben Dickenson and Ryan Moss fired the home side into a commanding position.
Tonbridge made just the one change from the side that beat Eastbourne Borough 3-2 in the week, Mikel Suarez making his first start in place of Ade Olorunda.
Dickenson put managerless Dorchester ahead on just eight minutes with a strike from 35 yards, which Tonbridge keeper Lee Worgan could only watch sail past him.
Moss then doubled the lead three minutes later, heading in from close range from a Dickenson corner.
Anthony Storey saw a header clip the bar soon after as Tonbridge tried to get a foothold in the game. Their persistence paid off when loan signing Kayne McLaggon brought the visitors back into it on 25 minutes.
His second goal in three games was a well finished strike from a clever Frannie Collin through ball.
After the break, Ade Olorunda (pictured) came off the bench and between himself and Lee Browning, managed to squirm arguably Tonbridge's best chance of an equaliser. McLaggon cut round the back to tee up his fellow striker and Olorunda's scuffed shot fell to Browning, who somehow managed to strike the post from just two yards out.
Browning also saw a late volley well saved by Dorchester keeper Alan Walker-Harris.
But, Dorchester secured all three points a minute from time. Ryan Moss scored his second of the afternoon, reacting first after a curled shot from Dickenson had struck the crossbar.
The defeat leaves Tonbridge 15th in the table, level on points with Dorchester.
