A motorist whose Audi ended up on its roof after a crash on Blue Bell Hill was found to be over the drink-drive limit.
Jack Sutliff was at the wheel of his Audi A5 when he lost control and crashed into a barrier.
He ended up flipping the car which then landed upside down on the exit slip road for Rochester Road, Burham, on September 17, last year.
Police were called and the 22-year-old was out of his vehicle when they arrived. A blood test was done to see if he was over the legal limit.
Sutliff gave a reading of 108 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 80.
Sutliff, of Greenside, Maidstone, appeared before magistrates on February 21 and pleaded guilty to drink driving.
Emily Wiles, prosecuting, said: "He lost control and crashed into a barrier and the car landed upside down on the exit slip road.
"He was out of the vehicle when police arrived and he was spoken to and later his blood was taken. He's of previous good character."
The court also heard Sutliff, a mobile smart repair technician for vehicles, had never been in trouble before.
Magistrates were also told Sutliff had swerved to avoid another car which had pulled into the carriageway in front of him and that he was sorry for committing the offence.
The court also heard being banned from driving would have a big impact on his job as he drove everywhere, but that his firm had agreed to a drop in wages for him so it could employ someone else to drive him around.
Magistrates banned Sutliff from driving for 12 months and fined him £364 and ordered he pay a victim surcharge of £138 and £85 costs.
If he completes a drink-driving course, his ban will be reduced by a quarter.
