A young man has suffered serious head injuries after the car he was driving hit a tree this morning.
The 24-year-old's black Vauxhall Corsa SXi came off the road on the westbound A262 in Goudhurst.
It happened near the junction where Clayhill meets Lurkins Rise at about 7.30am.
The driver, from Tenterden, was taken to King's College Hospital in London.
Kent Police closed part of the A262 from 8am to 12pm, while the car was recovered and evidence gathered.
Several witnesses have already spoken to police, but others are urged to come forward.
