A mystery motorist who reversed into a private driveway and then brazenly smashed into two cars and a van is being hunted by police.
The driver was caught on CCTV as he pulled up outside a house in Willington Street, Maidstone, just after midnight this morning.
The brazen attack was caught on camera
The video shows what seems like a 4x4 with a spare wheel clamped to its tailgate drive past the home then stop and reverse into the drive. At first it could be mistaken for someone trying to turn around.
But then the car picks up speed and deliberately reverses into the back of a people carrier parked on the left-hand side of the drive. The force of the collision dislodges snow which had built up on the people carrier's roof.
The motorist then drives forward and reverses into the people carrier a second time.
He then drives out and reverses into the front of a panel van parked on the right of the driveway.
Again, the motorist drives forward and then reverses to land a second blow on the van. The force pushed the van several inches.
For good measure, the motorist realigns his car before taking aim at a third vehicle standing stationary in the middle of the drive. After that, the motorist drives off into the darkness.
Within less than 60 seconds he landed five blows on three different vehicles in what looks like a deliberate attack. The force of the collisions pushed the cars into the front wall of the house.
The house owner posted the shocking footage of the attack on social media today and appealed for it to be shared.
She said: "This happened at my home last night around 12.15am. Done all three of the cars on the drive (plus) damage to my house.
"I watched it all as I was in the front room watching TV. Woke the whole house up. If anyone hears anything please contact me."
By this afternoon the video had been 'shared' more than 200 times.
She also posted a photo of her front wall which has been left bowed by the parked cars as they were pushed into the brickwork. She said wall plaster on the inside of her home had been cracked by the impact and her front door would not open.
She added: "Hopefully we will find out who would do this."
Police spokesman Andy Saunders said: "We were called at 12.10am today to an address in Willington Street, Maidstone.
"It is alleged a van and two cars parked on a driveway at the property were damaged after another vehicle repeatedly reversed into them.
"Officers attended and no arrests have yet been made."
