Drug users targeted in police crackdown

Drug users were targeted in a night-time police operation in West Malling.

Pubs and bars in the town were visited by officers and dog patrol teams on a Friday, September 21, as part of a police crackdown.

Three men were found in possession of class A and B drugs.

A 28-year-old from Maidstone and a 46-year-old a 38-year-old from Snodland received a caution.

Insp Nick Sparkes said: “We regularly run this operation and we are supported in our work by licensees who are as keen as we are to ensure premises remain drug-free environments.

"Operations such as these are really important in helping to get the message out there that we will continue to tackle drug use in Tonbridge and Malling to keep it a safe place to socialise.”
