A drunken menace has appeared in court again after attempting to bite a police officer and hurling abuse at strangers just a day after his last hearing.
John Stevens, of Mote Road, Maidstone, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly following an incident on Saturday, March 28, when police attended an out-of-control house party.
The 25-year-old was seen outside the property in Northumberland Court, Shepway, at 10.15pm swearing at a member of the public and attempted to bite an officer while being searched.
Less than three weeks ago the father of one admitted threatening behaviour following an incident where supermarket shoppers had to pin him to a chair. He will return to Maidstone Magistrates' Court next Friday to be sentenced for that offence.
Despite this and the fact he is still serving two conditional discharges for offences committed in Newcastle, Stevens was let off with a £37 fine and was ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
