This image could help catch two balaclava-clad raiders who forced their way into an elderly man's house before ransacking it.
Police have released this e-fit of a man they want to speak to after two cold callers searched an elderly couple's home in Paddock Wood.
The couple were initially disturbed by two male cold callers at their home in Alliance Way, when they knocked at their door at around 9.15pm on Friday, June 28.
They were told to leave but the following night there was another knock at the door at around the same time.
This time two men, wearing balaclavas, forced their way in, slightly injuring the 75-year-old man who answered the door.
The men went on to search the house, but left empty-handed following an argument with one of the victims.
Shortly afterwards, a man was seen in the street carrying something under his arm. The witness has since helped police create an image of the man who officers want to speak to.
"The intruders did not make off with whatever they were looking for, thanks in part to the bravery of the victims who fortunately were not badly injured" - DC Hayley Campbell
DC Hayley Campbell, leading the investigation on behalf of Went Kent’s reactive crime team, said: "Two elderly people have told us of what appears a pre-planned attack in their home.
"The intruders did not make off with whatever they were looking for, thanks in part to the bravery of the victims who fortunately were not badly injured.
"We have spoken to various people in the area and we are keen to establish who the unmasked man is, who was spotted in the area shortly after the attackers made their escape and whose face has been recollected by a passer-by.
"If anyone can identify the man pictured, or knows the identity of the cold-callers from the night before – even to eliminate them from our enquiries - then please get in touch.’
