Eager shoppers were seen queuing this morning in anticipation of Laura Ashley reopening its doors for a closing down sale.
Bargain hunters were waiting in line outside the Maidstone branch in Fremlin Walk earlier as the company launches what it describes as an "extensive" sale.
The fashion and home furnishings brand is also throwing open the doors of is Sevenoaks store today, with Canterbury and Broadstairs following tomorrow, Tunbridge Wells on Sunday and Tenterden on Monday.
Meanwhile stores in Bromley and Orpington are already back up and running.
The stores are designated as "Covid secure" and will follow a "strict policy of social distancing" limiting the number of shoppers allowed in-store as well as deep cleaning.
A spokesman for the business said: "There are some fantastic deals to be found in-store, as everything is now reduced and, with at least 50% off fashion, we expect clothing ranges to sell out fast."
No date has been set for the final closure of the brick-and-mortar stores.
The fashion chain, which launched in the 1950s, says once the stores close for good the brand will remain available online and through other retailers across the country.
