The blaze also spread to trees and a neighbouring shed, with crews wearing breathing apparatus while putting it out.

Arriving at 11.40pm yesterday, the team left at 1am today.

A fire service spokesman, who said no-one had been hurt, added: "It’s believed the fire started accidentally, when embers from a charcoal barbecue that had been used earlier on in the evening, and had not fully cooled, were blown into the shed and caused it to catch alight.

"Following the incident, crews are reminding people to take extra care when positioning and lighting any outdoor fire."
